[Promotion] SRSly Retire Smartly: Put Your SRS Savings to Work

Is your SRS working as hard as you are?

Introduced by the Ministry of Finance in 2001, the Supplementary Retirement Scheme (SRS) is a voluntary scheme designed to help you save more for retirement. On top of that, every dollar you contribute is eligible for tax relief, up to S$15,300 a year for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, and S$35,700 for foreigners.

But here’s the catch: SRS monies that remained uninvested earn an interest rate of 0.05% p.a. That’s barely enough to keep pace with rising costs, let alone grow your nest egg. So why let your savings sit idle?

Put your SRS to work with FSM Global. We’ll help you navigate the smart way to retirement, so your money can work harder for your future.

More about SRS

Incepted by the Ministry of Finance, the Supplementary Retirement Scheme or SRS for short, is a voluntary savings scheme that is part of the Singapore government’s multi-pronged strategy to address financial needs of an ageing population. It aims to encourage and help individuals save more for retirement. The SRS is also designed to complement one’s Central Provident Fund (CPF) savings, and while the latter is a mandatory contribution, SRS encourages individuals to voluntarily make an additional contribution into SRS, helping to power up one’s retirement fund.

With an SRS account, you can also reduce your taxable income by the same amount contributed towards your SRS.

If you are unsure of the amount of tax savings available, you can use this simple SRS calculator from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)’s website to calculate how much tax rebates you can enjoy. While planning your SRS contributions, you should also take note of the yearly cap, where Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PRs) can only make a maximum yearly contribution of S$15,300 while the contribution cap of foreigners stands at S$35,700.

Important Dates to Note

31 December 2026:

SRS contributions made on or before this date during the year will qualify for tax relief in the following Year of Assessment. However, SRS operators may stop accepting SRS contributions prior to this date so do get started early!

2 November 2026 – 29 January 2027:

Our promotion for SRS investors is running during this period (both start and end dates included). Whether you are new or have invested using SRS before on FSM Global, you can benefit from this promotion.
