  • The fund manager believes Asian equity markets are structurally inefficient, and seeks to add value through in-depth fundamental research, a disciplined focus on valuations, and an understanding of what is "priced in" by the market and what the key stock catalysts are.
  • The underlying fund's strategy tilts towards large and mid-capitalisation stocks, and follows a growth at a reasonable price (GARP) approach. Country and sector bias are an outcome of its bottom-up stock selection approach rather than a deliberate tilt.
  • The fund is benchmark-aware, referencing to MSCI Golden Dragon Index for performance comparison.
  • As of 31 March 2026, the fund’s largest sectoral allocations were in Information Technology and Consumer Discretionary. Relative to the benchmark, the fund's largest overweight remains in Industrials, where the manager sees bottom-up opportunities to benefit from China's industrial upgrading.
  • The fund tends to perform well in a stable or favourable economic environment that allows scope for stock picking but is more challenged when the market gravitates towards expensive defensive or quality names amid a weakening growth environment.

About the Fund Managers

The fund is managed by Goh Chin Siong, who has managed the fund for 3 years, supported by an 18-member investment and research team based in Singapore. The manager believes that Asian equity markets are structurally inefficient, and this inefficiency provides the opportunity to add value through a disciplined investment process. The approach emphasises consistent long-term returns achieved through in-depth fundamental research, a disciplined focus on valuations, and an understanding of what is already priced in by the market, together with identification of the key catalysts likely to influence individual stock performance. The strategy is growth-oriented, adopting a bottom-up stock selection approach complemented by a macro thematic overlay.
