Update to Android 12 or above to use the FSM Mobile App

Dear FSM client,

With the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), bad hackers and scammers are becoming smarter and more sophisticated in their illicit activities, from convincing phishing messages to malware that is harder to detect. Your mobile phone is now where you log in, receive one-time passwords (OTPs) and manage your investments. Keeping it secure has never been more important.

Important: As part of our ongoing efforts to protect you and provide a safer investing experience on the FSM App, we will no longer support Android 11 and older.

With effect from 1 November 2026, you will need Android 12 or above to use the FSM App.

How will this affect you?

If your mobile device is currently running Android 11 or an earlier version, you will see a pop-up alert informing you of this change whenever you log in to the FSM App. The alert will state that the FSM App will no longer be supported on your device from 1 November 2026.

To continue enjoying access to the FSM App, please either:

  1. Update your Android operating system to Android 12 or above, if your device supports it.
  2. Switch to a newer device that supports Android 12 or above.

If your device is already running Android 12 or above, no action is required.

Why are we making this change?

Google stopped releasing security updates for Android 11 in February 2024, and for older versions even earlier. This means newly discovered vulnerabilities on these devices are no longer fixed, leaving them permanently exposed.

For a financial app, this matters. Unpatched devices are easier targets for malware that can steal login details, intercept OTPs or display fake screens over legitimate apps. Newer Android versions also offer stronger privacy and permission controls that help keep your account and personal data safe.

This update is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining robust application security standards and protecting our clients. By supporting newer operating systems, we can better maintain the security and reliability of the FSM App.

We encourage affected clients to update their devices before 1 November 2026 to avoid potential disruption to their mobile app experience.
