About the Fund Managers
The PineBridge Acorns of Asia Balanced Fund is co-managed by Elizabeth Soon and Omar Slim, who are responsible for the fund's equities and fixed income sleeves respectively. Elizabeth has been a manager of this fund since 2008, while Omar has been a manager since 2013. The PineBridge Asia-ex-Japan Equity Team consists of 31 members, while the PineBridge Asia Fixed Income Team consists of 17 members as of 31 March 2026 (including traders and client portfolio managers).
The fund is benchmarked against a composite of 60% MSCI All Country Far East ex-Japan SMID Net Return Index and 40% JP Morgan Singapore Government Bond Index, though this benchmark is not used as a constraint on portfolio construction or as a return target. For the fund's equity sleeve, the team adopts a purely bottom-up approach using its proprietary Lifecycle Categorisation Research methodology. For the fund's fixed income sleeve, the team adopts a combined top-down and bottom-up approach.
